Kinder Kristmas
This original
Lisa Dean presentation featuring Melody, Santa's Helper, is a fast moving
variety show, ideal for the under sevens age group. Thirty minutes plus of
Christmas fun build up to the arrival of Santa Claus. During the show all
the children have their face painted as reindeer and dance about singing and
making actions to Christmas songs. Lisa's "We are little elves" song is also
performed as a Christmas version of musical chairs with a prize offered to
the winning child. Finally, everyone joins in singing Jingle Bells waiting
for Santa to arrive. This jam-packed Christmas event also features magic,
comedy, games, and giveaways.
Father Christmas
Lisa believes
she has the BEST Father Christmas in Melbourne, (but then of course she is
biased.) AND he is available - the early bird price for an ongoing booking
is exceptionally reasonable for the quality of the performance. This Santa
has an otherworldly glow, and a beautiful stoop, and as any Santa should be
- is naturally doddery and odd. He has participated in Lisa's Santa workshops
over the last two years and has impressed with his performances in the Kinder
Kristmas show. He can also sing, dance and play guitar when required for stage
work. His name is Merrin Bailey. Other Santas are in training every year,
however we consider Merrin a very hard act to beat.
Melody
- (Wandering Minstrel)
For three
hours a day Lisa will be present at your shopping centre or event providing
characterisation and fun activities. She can sing with the jazz band, coordinate
with other performers, and make reindeer balloon sculptures, paint faces,
and present one-woman shows. Lisa can sing Christmas carols as she wanders
around the centre, or be accompanied by Santa's Jazz Band or piano accordian
player. A delightful meet & greet performance and a highly effective way to
add atmosphere to large, crowded areas.
Santa's Jazz Band
The musicians
Lisa uses for the Santa's Jazz Band are all full time professionals. They
are fully booked for Christmas every year before 30 October. After this time
a semi-professional bunch of musicians are available, but for a cheaper fee.
Santa's jazz Band have been with Santa's Helpers since 1990 and are familiar
with the emphasis on entertaining children and providing novelty.
Santa's Helpers for Hire.
(Specialist characters.)
Fairy on the Christmas Tree
A wonderful
fairy personality, soft and full of kind Christmas Spirit. She provides a
five minute dance sketch, describing how she wakes up when Father Christmas
comes to put the presents under the tree. A graduate from the school of dance
at the Victorian College of the Arts, she is wonderful and fairy like, a beautiful
storyteller and can also provide spot face painting and sculpt balloons where
necessary. The fairy spontaneously stops during the day to present her dance.
Her wait for Santa begins as she becomes as still as a statue!
Story telling Booth
This booth
is provided by Eddie james at James Leigh Promotions and any of the performing
characters present on the day, including Santa can enter the booth and tell
a story. Santa's Helpers stories include "How melody got to Santaland", "Santa's
Jazz band to the Rescue", "Rudolf has a bad day!" and "The sun the Snow and
Melody",. Also available:SANTA'S
DEN. A special version of the "storytelling booth", featuring Santa telling
about his many adventures.
Reindeer Face Painter
Lisa Dean
Productions presents face painters as characters, dressed in character and
with an attractive face painting board displaying the faces to be created.
Characters available include Melody, Sunboy, Snowgirl, Santa, Rudolf and Rudolf's
Blacksmith. You can have the reindeer face painter dressed as Sunboy or Snowgirl,
or book Lisa as the face painter to have Melody herself. The faces are reputed
for their mask like quality and arty presentations. (All faces are designed
by Lisa Dean). The reindeer face painter is presented with the Rudolf the
Rednose Reindeer board with a hole where the children put their head. The
children's faces are painted as characters from the Santa's Helpers team.
Elves
Two Christmas
elves who interact and clown around together characterising and telling the
stories from the Santa's Helpers tradition. Balloon sculptures and spot face
painting included.
Pearly
A Christmas
Elf who plays the piano accordian to accompany the Kinder Kristmas show and
provide mobile music with Melody (Santa's Helper) around any event. This elf
character has been performing with Santa's Helpers since 1990 and for budget
quality presentations doubles as a Santa. Lisa prefers to have the piano accordian
player present for her show, but can accompany herself on guitar. It must
be said, however, that the bright and happy atmosphere the accordian can create
is difficult to match.
Rudolf's Blacksmith
An eccentric
clown character who has been given the job as Rudolf's blacksmith in Santaland.
He always wanted to be a blacksmith. The funny thing is that Rudolf and the
reindeer don't wear shoes! But in Santaland, everybody is given a job and
Rudolf's Blacksmith is in charge of keeping the many reindeer in order, looking
after their feet and getting them out of trouble. Rudolf's Blacksmith has
crooked eyes, and creates the most amazing balloon scultptures of reindeer,
reindeer antlers, and the reindeer sleigh. This unique character is created
by Lisa Dean and the specialty artist is booked via Flim Flam Entertainment.
Plum Pudding
Another Lisa
Dean comedy character presentation, this one created for an adult audience
as a 'meet & greet' comedy routine. Recommended for the University student
population, a pub crowd, or a business function. "Plum Pudding" is also available
as a singing telegram and is a Lisa Dean Production created for Flim Flam
Entertainment.
Christmas Card Making
This presentation
comes with children's tables and chairs and a craft printer. The children
get to make their own Christmas cards. If they wish to design a card themselves
the cost is $15. Otherwise they can all create and decorate cards that have
the same design. With this presentation we provide picture sheets with Santa's
Helpers characters to colour in, crayons and pencils, and glitter to make
the cards dazzle like snow flakes. Creative fun that will get kids thinking
about the deeper significance of Christmas through giving another person something
of themselves.
